Surveillance, Search & Rescue Craft Conference
22.01.2013
The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA) continues the SURV (Surveillance, Search & Rescue Craft) series of international conferences in 2013 with the eighth edition titled SURV 8.
The conference will be held on 20th & 21st March at the RNLI Lifeboat College, Poole, UK.
With ever greater recreational and commercial use of the marine environment there is inevitably a higher rate of incidents where external assistance is required. This increased pressure on resources provides a new set of challenges that organisations need to adapt to in order to continue to provide their high level of service.
The SURV 8 conference provides a forum for discussion of both military and civilian vessels. SURV 8 includes papers across the full range of vessels, equipment and methods used by search and rescue organisations, pilot craft, coastguards and police.
Attendance at SURV 8 (Surveillance, Search and Rescue Craft) qualifies as CPD (Continuing Professional Development) for RINA members.
Topics will include analysis of new designs, applications and operations of these vessels, as well as review existing vessels and uses across all marine environments.
