MN100 - Marine News Announces 2015 List

MN100 is the annual Marine News list that chronicles the 100 leading companies serving the North American shallow draft market and workboat sector.

Shock Mitigation featured in the original MN100 list in 2014 and features again in the 2015 edition of MN100.

The second annual edition of MN100 is the yearly Marine News review of the most compelling companies serving the workboat, brown water, inland and coastal markets. The August 2015 edition also coincides with the 25th anniversary of Marine News.

In the United States alone, the workboat and brown water industry now represents as much as 99 percent of all hulls on the water. The demographics of this sector has changed precipitously over time, much the like the waterborne business that now stretches into the oil & gas industries, wind farms, marine construction and everything else in between.

The 100 firms outlined shed considerable light on the breathtaking breadth of business happening on the water, in the yard and in myriad marine workshops, consultancies and manufacturing concerns. Joseph Keefe, Editor of Marine News said, ‘MN 100 is done and dusted! The formidable effort, now safely in my choppy wake, provides a telling snapshot of just what makes this sector of the marine industry great.'

Keefe added, ' Just when you think that you understand exactly what XYZ Consulting or ABC Shipbuilding does for a living, the process of digging just a little deeper turns out to be an invaluable exercise.'

John Haynes, Managing Director of MN100 company Shock Mitigation, said, ‘Full marks for all MN 100 participants and the high level of support delivered by Marine News, Maritime Reporter and Marine Link for all the sectors. We are proud to be included with this group of professionals.’
