Scot Seats S2J and S3J Shock Mitigation Jockey Seats are designed to be fitted in RIBs or fast craft. These suspension seats are suitable for people of all shapes and sizes due to a height and weight adjustment system. This is operated by simply turning a knob on the back of the seat and an adjustable damper. The Scot Seats S3J Shock Mitigation Jockey Seat gives the user three forms of shock mitigation in one seat.
The first stage of Scot Seats suspension is the up and down movement which utilises a progressive spring assisted damper incorporated in a swing arm system. The second stage is a SHUFFLE SYSTEM which allows for some sideways movement to reduce the effects of side forces that can cause injuries. The third stage of the shock mitigation system is the MITIGATOR foam in the base of the seat.
Scot Seats have adjustable Height & Shock suspension. The 50mm (2”) height adjustment incorporates automatic Body Mass Index compensation for weight when the height of the seat base is increased. There is 150mm (6”) of progressive travel with spring assisted damper which helps reduce the effects of whiplash. All components are marine grade suitable for external use.
The S2 Shock Mitigation Jockey Seat has the same features at the S3 jockey seat except it does not have the SHUFFLE SYSTEM installed, this allows for more storage space to be retained under the seat. Scot Seats Jockey Seats are trimmed as standard in Toughtec material which is hard wearing, water resistant, UV resistant and anti-slip when wet or dry. Optional extras include side support wings, top or front grab handles, mesh pocket, tracked mounting system.
