Scot Seats S2 Helmsman Seat is designed to be fitted in all types of planing craft. These suspension seats are designed to be comfortable and offer good support for people across a wide range of shapes and sizes due to a height adjustment system. This is operated by simply turning a knob on the back of the seat and an adjustable damper.
The first stage of suspension is the up and down movement which utilises a progressive spring assisted damper incorporated in a swing arm system. The Helmsman Seat utilises FOX Float Shock with adjustable rebound, compression and air pressure. The seat has 50mm (2”) height adjustment which incorporates automatic Body Mass Index compensation for weight when the height of the seat base is increased. There is 150mm (6”) of progressive travel with spring assisted damper which helps reduce the effects of whiplash.
The Scot Seats S2 Helmsman seat is available in low back or high back versions. All components are marine grade anodized aluminium and stainless steel suitable for external use. Scot Seats Helmsman Seats are trimmed as standard in Toughtec material which is hard wearing, water resistant, UV resistant and anti-slip when wet or dry.
Optional extras include folding armrests, SITTAB adjustable armrests with the ability to mount controls. Lap safety belt or 4-point harness are available to customer’s specification. Mounting options include a GRP pod and footrest to increase height and a tracked mounting system for easy fore and aft adjustment or removal. MITIGATOR foam can be specified in the base of the seat to increase the shock mitigation characteristics of the seat.
