Southampton International Boat Show 2022
16 to 25 September 2022
Southampton Boat Show 2022, held in the port of Southampton UK from 16 to 25 September, features some of the world’s most prestigious exhibitors and brands.
Organised by British Marine, the Southampton Show includes one of Europe's largest purpose built marinas with over 2 kilometres of pontoons with more than 300 boats on display.
This waterside event showcases the world's leading engines, electronics, components and equipment. The annual event hosts global, European and UK launches of yachts, RIBs and motor boats. Every year, the Show welcomes historic vessels.
Norman Kemish and Arthur Gale launched the first Southampton Boat Show which ran for just six days, from 29 September to 4 October 1969. The early Boat Show was a far more modest affair than today’s event, solely contained within Mayflower Park and the army, based on the other side of the river at Marchwood Military Port, supplying the small pontoon where just a handful of boats were moored.
In 2018, the Boat Show celebrated its golden anniversary. Over the last 50 years it has been the launchpad for boating legends, seen the evolution of ground-breaking technology and tracked the rise of global marine brands.
The main entrance location links the show with Southampton’s City Centre and West Quay shopping centre, with easy access to Britain’s biggest and best festival of boating from the heart of the city.
Located on Harbour Parade the Boat Show is open 10:00 to 18:00 from Friday 16 to Saturday 24 September. On Sunday 25 September the show closes at 17.00.
With over 1,600 members, British Marine represents an industry worth around £3 billion that employs 30,000 people in the UK.
