Search & Rescue Europe 2016
10.03.2016
Search and Rescue Europe 2016 is being held from 7 to 9 June 2016 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
With two conference days plus a workshop day Search and Rescue 2016 will bring together world-leading SAR professionals and organisations, in a forum which will deliver fresh ideas and the opportunity for discussion and debate. The end result will be new information and ultimately more lives saved.
Enhancing capabilities, increasing interoperability and better integration is the key to more effective SAR operations. Countries and regions can create a more effective SAR force by improving the understanding of each agencies roles and responsibilities.
SAR Europe 2016 brings together leading practitioners to discuss how the community can move towards better integration between different SAR agencies. Tackling issues ranging from the latest requirements for airborne SAR assets through to the latest innovative life-saving training and techniques.
This global forum is dedicated to advancing discussions begun in 2014 and moving the community a step closer to an effective, integrated Search and Rescue capability.
This event has been timed to follow up on the Danish government’s Arctic LIVEX16: a large scale Search and Rescue exercise being held in Greenland in May 2016.
Key topics and themes being addressed at Search and Rescue 2016:
Insight and expertise from Arctic LIVEX16, including lessons on: international interoperability, communication and mission coordination, and the performance of the latest SAR technology on the “front line” of operations.
Leading SAR experts presenting on key issues such as mass rescue, operating at maximum efficiency on a restricted budget and the latest technological developments.
