METS 2015 - Marine Equipment Trade Show

METS 2015 - Marine Equipment Trade Show - Amsterdam, NL

METS 2015 - the Marine Equipment Trade Show is held at Amsterdam RAI in The Netherlands from 17 to 19 November.

The METS event, organised in association with the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA), is the world’s largest trade exhibition of equipment, materials and systems for the international marine leisure industry.

The METS TRADE show combines seminars and networking opportunities for visitors to connect across countries, technologies and industry sectors. In addition to the DAME Design Awards, METS showcases thousands of innovations and new products from over 1,300 exhibitors from over 40 countries.

Finding new ways to share knowledge and best practice has never been more important in the maritime world. Innovation has been a crucial theme at METS since this B2B marine equipment trade show opened its doors in 1988, and is often stated as the number one reason why people come to Amsterdam RAI.

With the introduction of the Innovation LAB, METS 2014 offered a central stage to give face to all innovation at the show. The Innovation Lab showcased all nominated products of the Design Award METS and visitors were able to browse the individual nominees details via iPads. Throughout the show the stage hosted seminars, workshops, debates and presentations daily.

Material Xperience is part of the Construction Material Pavilion. Suppliers and experts from the global network Materia displayed innovative materials that could add considerable value to the maritime sector. The 2014 theme was Lightweight Challenge.

The HISWA Symposium, started in 1969, is one of the world's most important symposiums in the area of yacht building and yacht construction. It is bi-annually organised by HISWA Association, Delft University of Technology and Amsterdam RAI. Well established universities, knowledge centers and companies from all over the world share their experiences about topics such as hull vibrations, design optimization for small boats and the innovative techniques used for America’s Cup performances.
