11th November 2013 - Singapore Maritime Search & Rescue Asia

The Maritime Search And Rescue Asia 2013 summit on the 11th November in Singapore is part of Asia's premier long-running Annual Global MDA - Coastal Surveillance conference.

Dedicated to Southeast Asia's search and rescue industry the event will gather senior decision makers from Coast Guards, Navies & Search and Rescue Coordinating Agencies across Asia Pacific.

The Maritime Search and Rescue Asia 2013 summit will examine key challenges and cutting-edge solutions in maritime search and rescue, including:-

Enhancing inter-agency & international cooperation for search and rescue operations.

Learning from major search and rescue incidents across the region.

Assessing operational performance of the latest vessels, aircraft and equipment.

Maximising the benefits of inter-agency training.

Amidst the frequent occurrence of major natural disasters, vessels are caught in extreme weather and accidents at sea. Operating an effective search and rescue capability remains of paramount importance to ensuring maritime security.
