Born To Run - June in the USA UK & EU

John Haynes - Born To Run

June is going to be an interesting month both sides of the Atlantic! It starts with Bruce Springsteen playing in London at Wembley Stadium on 5th June. With ‘Born To Run’ still ringing I fly into the US the next day.

MACC is always a great event – which has moved this year from the base at Virginia Beach to the US Coast Guard Yard in Baltimore.

High level military and security organisations come together with innovators from industry at MACC. It is a changing world and this event really keeps the fast boat sector aiming for the same high goals.

The second week of June is back to my home port of Southampton for Seawork. The event has outgrown its traditional location in the docks and is now being held in Mayflower Park. With extra waterfront for more boats and closer to the town centre this change should work well.

The third week of June is across the North Sea to Amsterdam. I am at the Electric & Hybrid Marine Expo for two days, then the Autonomous Ship Symposium. These two events are being run side by side in the RAI conference centre in Amsterdam.

As everyone wants to know how ‘hybrid’ marine power will impact their sectors I will be presenting at all these events. With a deep interest in the coming of ‘unmanned’ vessels I am also chairing and facilitating a day of the autonomous event. Dates and times are below – I look forward to seeing you in the US, UK or EU.
