Willard Marine Long Range Interceptor (LRI) is a unique boat encompassing a number of special features. The LRI was developed for the US Coast Guard Deepwater National Security Cutter program. This aluminium patrol boat is built for offshore operations with the latest marine and law enforcement electronics and shock mitigating seats.

The Willard LRI is constructed from 5086 welded aluminium. Powered by twin inboard diesel engines and water jets this boat has a cruising speed of 35 knots and can achieve speeds of up to 45 knots. The LRI is designed to be launched and recovered from the USCG National Security Cutter’s stern ramp. The bow horn is designed to operate with the unique capture mechanism installed in the cutter for a safe and smooth launch and recovery.

Working with Human System Integration (HSI) a number of factors were taken into account when designing the interior of the boat. Other special features of the Willard Marine LRI include C4ISR electronics package, shock mitigating seating for six operators, weapon mounts, an integrated intercom system plus two laptop computer stations.

Willard offer onboard or onsite Crew Familiarisation training for clients. The training personnel at Willard have years of experience in operation, maintenance and repair of their boats which is delivered in training classes. Training courses can be developed to individual clients requirements to cover the design, operation, maintenance and repair of craft.
