Norsafe Military & Professional Craft are mission specific craft built on standard Norsafe deep-v hull platforms for reliability, high speed and sea worthiness. Norsafe Military & Professional Boats have increased strength and custom features for operations in the ‘No-Failure Zone’. The lay out and performance of the boats are ideal for different types of missions, including operations in hostile areas.
Norsafe boats are specially designed to operate away from shore or the mother ship for extended periods of time. The boats have hull and seating arrangements designed to mitigate shock and maximize seaworthiness. The hulls are vacuum moulded of advanced composites. In addition to fire retardant fibreglass, carbon fibre and Kevlar reinforcement are used on certain projects. Options include various ballistic protection materials.
Norsafe boats have a low freeboard, a spray hood specially designed for boarding and an anti-slip deck surface. They are self-bailing, have ample deck space, a self-righting system and a sturdy foam-filled fender. Radar waves pass through fibreglass, giving the boats an inherent stealth capability. This combined with very little use of aluminium or steel helps reduce the overall radar signature.
Norsafe boats are designed in accordance to SOLAS 1983/96 and UKOOA requirements with MED EC certificate. Other classifications / certificates can be supplied upon request. All boats are specially designed and constructed to fulfil the need for reliability, low maintenance standby and operation. Norsafe boats are tailor-made to end-user requirements. All boats are individually equipped to ensure that the layouts are optimal for the crews that will operate the boats.
