The EPS Hovercraft M-10 is a 20 metre (65 feet), fully amphibious, composite vessel that traverses over virtually any terrain including sand, ice and road surfaces. With a top speed of 50 knots, an operational envelope to the maximum of Sea State 4 and 11 ton disposable load capability, this high speed craft can be configured to carry combat troops, logistic supply cargo or even light vehicles.
The advanced non-corrosive composite of Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) construction uses glass, Kevlar and carbon fibres to give a strong and robust structure. The completely homogeneous structure effectively eliminates high stress points and fatigue failure with excellent impact resistance and energy absorbing properties. The results are a lightweight vessel with minimal maintenance and servicing plus prolonged vessel life.
In operational scenarios such as over-the-horizon landings in shallow waters, inter-coastal patrol duties, marshland access or compromised marine borders, the fully amphibious abilities and minimal footprint of the EPS M10 Hovercraft has minimal impact on the integrity of the environment and safety of the wildlife. With no propellers, jets, shafts or exhausts in the water marine flora and fauna remain undisturbed. Virtually no wake is produced, thereby eliminating beach and coastal erosion.
The EPS M10 Hovercraft was primarily designed for military use however law enforcement agencies, medical emergency rescue, National Guard disaster recovery, Coast Guard patrol and surveillance, Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) interdiction, as well as Special Forces and Marines beach landings are other applications. The blue-water design and fully amphibious abilities of the EPS M10 provides mobility and rescue opportunities to military and peacekeeping forces globally.
