Wing Inflatables P-47 CRRC (Combat Rubber Raiding Craft) was developed by experts in white-water rafting, swift water rescue, surf zone and littoral boat operations. Wing Inflatables specialise in thermo-welding high-strength, long-lasting polyurethane coated fabrics in various designs and applications. This P-Series is the culmination of two decades of experimenting and testing designs in some of the harshest environments including shooting rapids, strafing rocks, dropping down waterfalls and breaking surf.
The Wing P-Series range of polyurethane fully inflatable boats are designed to offer the maximum area of usable deck space and be as light as possible without sacrificing strength. The tube seams, made of Cooley Coolthane® polyurethane fabric, are heat welded (not glued) into a single fabric forming a joint that is even stronger than the material itself. The tubes are reinforced by external rub strakes and have internal tie-down D-Rings. For transport there are 3 lift points plus12 carry handles. Towing fittings include port, starboard and bow D-Rings plus transom eyes.
The P-47 incorporates non-deteriorating composite transom and floorboards with 8 stainless steel D-Rings for securing loads. The tube design is based on 5 airtight chambers with pressure release valves. There are 2 auto-inflation points and 4 intercommunication chamber valves. The keel is reinforced with a heavy duty coating and the inflatable keel is a replaceable component.
The running surface of the P-Series is designed to be durable and very efficient. Under light load conditions with a 40 hp engine the P-4.7 can reach 30 miles per hour. An added benefit of the Wing P-Series low drag surface is that the P-4.7 throws a smaller wake profile to assist clandestine operations.The Wing P-Series has developed into a fleet of fully inflatable boats at 4.2 metre, 4.7 metre, 5.3 metre and 5.8 metre. P-Series inflatables are available with specific features for use as rescue craft.
