Arancia Inshore Rescue Boats have been developed to operate in the most extreme surf conditions. The boat can be launched from surf beaches or from mother vessels. Arancia construction is all fabric with removable floorboards. The floor of the craft is constructed of fabric tensioned by a separate keelson tube fitted under the removable fibreglass floorboards. This forms a shallow vee section allowing the craft to maintain planing speeds through choppy conditions and turn more effectively.
The shape of the hull, vee bottom, dimensions and materials used in the construction give the craft its characteristics and performance. Arancia is designed to give good all round performance in surf and fast flowing water conditions. Arancia Inshore Rescue Boats are supplied with tow rope, paddles, pressure gauge, pump, repair kit, tool bag, knife. Additional features include carry bag, stowage bags, engine safety strop, v-strips and adjustable foot straps. The Arancia transom is designed for hand steer / hand throttle outboard engines up to 30hp.
Arancia Flood Rescue Boats are built to the same high specification. Standard fittings alow for a rescue tube to be added with optional extras of SOLAS reflective tape, extra rubbing strakes, additional stowage bags and a towing bridle. The standard hull and tube colour is orange for high visibility in surf and white water conditions.
Arancia Rescue Boats are manufactured from CSM Hypalon fabric. The boats are hand built for quality, performance and safety, meeting ISO 6185 Inflatable Boat Standards, ISO 9002 Quality Assurance & EU Recreational Craft Directive (CE Mark). Arancia boats are used by many surf rescue organisations and are increasingly used as flood rescue craft by different emergency services around the world.
