XS-RIBS are high performance RIBs built specifically for use in the harsh environment of northern European waters. All XS craft are manufactured from commercial grade materials for multi-role professional applications. XS-RIBS are available exclusively through Barnet Marine Centre, who have a background of over 30 years in the RIB industry.
XS-RIBS believe that to create a craft with the best possible sea keeping characteristics it is essential to maximise hull volume. A high volume hull gives stability at rest and at speed, plus large payload capacities. All XS-RIBS have a generous beam - 2.9 metre beam on the 750 & 850 & 990 craft - 2.6 metre on the 550 & 600 & 650 & 700 craft - 2.2 metre on the 460 & 500 & 540 craft. A RIB of this beam can comfortably accommodate a wide range of seating and console options.
RIB tubes are constructed of Polyurethane fabric with Hypalon available as a ‘no extra cost’ option. Fuel tanks are stainless steel and fuel systems are MCA Harmonised Code compliant with fire proof fuel hoses and fuel taps. All tanks come with test certificates plus all craft come with a tube pressure test certificate and a class stability test.
All XS-RIBS are built to the most exacting standards and all XS craft are suitable for commercial use. The range includes an extra heavy duty build option. These craft have extra GRP / FRP lay up as standard to the hull, transom and deck. The XS commercial RIB range is available coded to MCA Cat 4 Passenger Craft and Work Boats. Military and commercial craft may require substantial customisation and this ‘one off’ special build market is an area that XS-RIBS specialise in.
